Finding Harmony in a Singing Bowl Shop

One of the must-do experiences in Boudhanath is visiting a singing bowl shop. The resonating sound of singing bowls is said to be healing and can help you connect with your inner self. Spend some time finding a tune that resonates with you, creating a personal and spiritual experience.

Among the sea of singing bowls shops, we always go to Master Santa Ratna Shakya’s Himalayan Singing Bowl Centre or Klangschalen-Zentrum.

Master Santa is featured by the author of Singing Bowl A Nepali Instrument for Tuning the mind & Healing the Body. Inside this practical guide, you will learn the origin of the bowls and classes of it, for example Nevana bowls, Full bowl singing bowl or normal singing bowl. Each has its own distension and therapeutic properties.

A Taste of Tibet in the Heart of Nepal

Boudhanath is also a culinary hotspot, especially for those who love Tibetan and Nepali cuisine. Don't miss out on local delicacies like momo (dumplings), thukpa (noodle soup), the Thakali set (a traditional meal), and Chao Mian (stir-fried noodles).
